![]() ![]() From comic books to logo wipes, there is a preset out there for literally any project, many of them free or low-cost. While After Effects allows you to build your own transitions, the easiest way to implement After Effects transitions is to use creative transition presets and tweak them to fit your project perfectly. Whether you like to keep it minimal with simple wipes or want to blast the screen with ink-like effects, you can make it happen in After Effects. Thanks to After Effects’ powerful keyframing and motion graphics tools, you can create an incredible array of motion graphic transitions that will wow your audience. When everything is working without the originals, they can be deleted from the category levels, and restart FCPX to clear them all out.One of the most common effects used in Adobe After Effects is video transitions. Go back into Final Cut and make the necessary parameter changes using the originals as guides. ![]() In the finder, put back the temporarily removed versions. ADD themed versions along side the Missing. Temporarily remove the category level version and let Final Cut throw the Alerts - they're easy to spot. In this case, I would recommend copying the templates in the Finder and paste the copies into theme folders. If you used custom parameter settings, in most cases, these will also have to be reset. ![]() One caveat: If you've already installed and used templates from specific categories, moving them into theme folders will cause Missing Template alerts for projects/clips in which they were already used. I have seen it reported that you can simply add theme folders and FCPX will honor it, so give it a try. If a template is created with a Theme in Motion, the XML added to the template file specifies a theme, like this: Simply adding the theme level may or may not work for you. This means that there is some rule that I don't know creating these folders to make it readable correctly by FCPX.įinal Cut allows for an extra level of separation called "Theme". Other times you have all the transaction mixed all together. What I have instead is that sometime you can see this separation between Cube Transactions and Linear transactions. Selecting it, you have to see on the right panel all the transitions you putted inside the folder, but separated by a mail text that corresponds to your folders "Cube Transitions" and "Linear Transitions". On the transitions panel you will find a firs group under the standard one ALL, 360°, Blurs and so on, you will find a group called "My transitions". The result of this operation, inside FCPX have to be this: Home user -> movies -> Motion Templates -> Transitions -> My Transitions -> Linear Transitions Home user -> movies -> Motion Templates -> Transitions -> My Transitions -> Cube Transitions Inside them you can copy all your transitions. I was thinking that you can go on MOTION TEMPLATES folder by finder, choose your main folder like "Transitions", then you can create your own folder like "My transitions" and then you can copy inside it your group of transitions, for example you can create groups like "linear transitions" and "cube transitions" creating this two folders. ![]() I would like to know how separate group of transitions or effects or titles or generators inside the FCPX related panels. ![]()
